Mauja Bijayapur Samaj UK Annual Get-together Party on Saturday, 27th June 2026

General 

Mauja Bijayapur Samaj (MBS) UK Annual Get-together Party will be held on Saturday, 27th June 2026 from 11:00 AM to 09:00 PM at Empire Banqueting Hall, High St., Aldershot, GU11 1DJ.

Aim

The aim of the party is to organise an Annual Get-together for all members, families and our special guests of the day: Cheli – Betties.

Dress: Casual, but all are encouraged to wear Nepali cultural attire to reflect our cultural heritage.

Guests

Our special guests on the day are all our Cheli – Betties and their husbands. This is a special opportunity for all of us to come together in one place and share Dukh – Sukh from our busy lives in the UK. If you have family members who are currently in the UK on a visit, please, notify us and feel free to bring them to join the party with us.

Party Strength

As food for the day will have to be ordered through a catering company, an accurate estimate for the total attendees is to be identified in order to save costs and avoid food waste on the day. Therefore, all members are kindly requested to help respective Gaun Representatives by notifying them of you and any Cheli – Betties’ attendance before Friday 19th June 2026. Please spread the word of mouth that we have the Mauja Bijayapur Samaj UK Bhetghat Party on Saturday 27th June 2026 to all Members and Cheli – Betties, New Members and Members are strongly encouraged to attend.

Party Fees

The cost will be as follows:

£25.00 per adult,

£10.00 per junior (Aged between 10 – 17 years old),

£10 per senior citizen (Aged between 70 years – 79 years old), and

Free for the children below 10 years old or senior citizen aged above 80 years old.

However, each member will need to contribute the usual Cheli – Betties fee of £40.00 and Annual Membership subscription of £10.00 per couple or £5.00 per single member. There will be no other charges.

MBS UK Fee Collection for the Get – together

All village representatives are kindly requested to collect money from their respective Gaunle Members and hand over the funds to treasurer before Thursday, 21st June 2026 and inform to our Treasurer, Deepak Gurung by texting him on 07715123848 or emailing deepakgurung75@gmail.com with the bank deposit reference for the necessary updates.

Felicitations/congratulations

There will be a felicitation / congratulation programme for those who successfully achieved a university degree, any newly-wed couples, newly born children, becoming a new member or receiving achievements outside Mauja Bijayapur Samaj UK, like in the previous years. Therefore, please provide name(s) with the university name and course if anyone has achieved a university degree recently. Similarly, please provide name(s) of those who have newly got married or are joining as a new member of Mouja Bijayapur Samaj, UK. There will be a nominal roll request in the samaj communication platform very soon- please help us to identify names from all in order to coordinate correctly and efficiently on the day.

Details and Tasks

All locally based members are kindly requested to arrive for venue set up at 11:00 AM on the day. Any assistance is greatly appreciated, regardless of if it is your first time volunteering to set up or if you are a regular.

Raffle draw prizes Sponsors

As part of the entertainment, like in the previous years, we are organizing a raffle draw this year as well. Therefore, generous Members and Cheli – Betties are kindly requested to sponsor any items or offer cash prizes to make the draw more enjoyable and exciting. In the past year’s post party review, we have been advised to sponsor items rather than cash, therefore willing volunteers are kindly requested bring their sponsored items nicely wrapped up and ready to present with a price of no less than £25.00.

Entertainment

There might be an artist / singer present from Nepal, but this is yet to be confirmed. We love supporting our own family and community first and foremost. Therefore, if you have talented Naniharu, please encourage them to perform a dance on the day. We are also keen to share the dance floor with you all together. Therefore, Om Prasad Gurung, Anjana Gurung, Bindhu Raj Gurung and Tika Ram Gurung (Jivan) are kindly requested to bring the latest and greatest dance songs on the day.

Car Parking

The past record shows that there is an open Car Parking facility annexed to Empire Banqueting Hall. The parking charge / rate on the day will be up to 2 hours – £1.20, up to 3 hours – £1.80, all day (this excludes the night charge)  – £6.00 and there will be Night Charge (6PM – 9AM) – £1.50, subject to no change as printing date of  these instructions. Alternatively, the main multi-storey car park offers whole day parking for £6.50 and is located within a short walking distance.

Please, do let us know if you wouldn’t like your photo taken.

Please, do let us know if you have special dietary requirements

e. g. Vegetarian option or gluten free meal.

Please, always keep an eye on your children as there are hazards, particularly from cars on the road.

Please, always be at your best in hosting our Cheli – Betties.

Please, do not litter. Use appropriate bins provided.

Please, don’t sell, request sponsorship or promote any commercial items during this Get – together.

Conclusion

It is our great pleasure to organise an annual get-together and see each other once in a year all in the same place. Therefore, all Members are kindly requested to help and support the organising team to make this event a success and enjoyable for all.
