Welcome to our website of Mauja Bijayapur Samaj (MBS) UK. Mauja Bijayapur Samaj UK is a Samaj (community) of Nepalese who originally came to the UK from former Mauja VDC and Bijayapur (panch-thar gaun) of Kaski district, Nepal and are currently residing in the UK. The Samaj was established on 26 January 2008 with an aim to help each other out in times of genuine hardship and distress and preserve our cultural heritages over in the UK. The Samaj primarily aims to maintain a link within its members and cheli-beties in the UK and with our ancestral homes back in Nepal. The Samaj also aims to support our village communities in Nepal on the basis of members’ approval as it finds necessary.
All the members of the samaj are originally from the following 9 Villages (gauns) of Kaski district, Nepal: 1. Khamgale Gaun, 2. Danda Gaun, 3. Pokhari Gaun, 4. Dihi Gaun, 5. Lamdanda Gaun, 6. Mauja Gaun, 7. Mohoriya Gaun, 8. Atighar/Manchhap and 9. Kura Gaun. These villages are situated north-east of Pokhara and one can reach there from Pokhara within 2/3 hours by walking and 30 to 50 minutes by driving.

Dear Chairman, Advisors, EC members and members of MBS UK.
I echo each and every word our event coordinator Indra Kumar Dai has expressed in the previous message. So eloquently written.
My Thank You goes to each and everyone of you who were directly and indirectly involved in the event which was a huge success. Those who couldn’t join with us physically this year, we will definitely meet next year.
Having said that as Indra Kumar Dai has already mentioned, please mark your diary for our next year 16th Annual Chelibeti Bhetghat Event as follows:
Date : Saturday, 21 June 2025
Venue : Samuel Cody School, Ballantyne Road
Farnborough
Hampshire
GU14 8SN
Time : TBC
Thank you Khum mama for booking the venue in advance as experienced this year, availability of venue during these times every year is very limited.
We will have to hold a physical meeting which should be both post event meeting followed by AGM. New EC members needs to be selected as this EC team has consecutively done more than 2 terms. A venue, date and time needs to be fixed which I will liaise with CM, Advisors and EC members.
Thank You All once again and looking forward to seeing you all soon… Jai MBS UK !!!
Warm Regards
