Dear Chairman, Advisors, Executive committee members, members and distinguished guests- our Chelibeti family,

Hope you all enjoyed above our annual summer get-together. 

Thank you all for your collective efforts in organising the 16th Mauja Bijaypur Samaj UK Summer get-together, which was held on Saturday 21st June 2025 at Samuel Cody School in Farnborough. A great deal of appreciation goes to the executive committee and all village representatives and some local members, who put a great deal of effort from their heart to make the event successful. If I name them, there is always a possibility of forgetting some as there are so many helping hands. However, particularly, we are grateful to our catering liaison officer, Dhan Bhai from Gairi Gaun, Drinks management officer, Dikpal Babu from Mauja Gaun, all booking and event management officer, Khum Bhanja from Lam Danda Gaun and entertainment officer, Ex – Chairman, Ram Kumar Soltee for arrangement of various artists from Nepal. 

Also, thank you to all of the generous sponsors for the raffle draw. You have been helping us every year and a hefty amount of £750.00 has been collected from the raffle draw this year for MBS UK. Without your generous help and support it wouldn’t have been possible and once again thank you! Also, a big thank you to our Cheli from Antighar Gaun, Mahili, Indira and Bhanja Amber Babu (Thak Gaun, Pola) for contributing £200.00 towards MBS UK on the happy occasions of their son, Milan Babuko wedding and daughter’s (Apsara Natini) recent graduation. 

The entertainment was warmed up by our ever talented General Secretary, Jivan Bhai followed by Guest Artists from Nepal, Sharmila BC, Elena Gurung and RC Paudel. Also, thank you to the beautiful dance performance by Sweta Nanu from Danda Gaun, another talent just discovered this year, stage performance by Juwain Raja, Akash Gurung (Mohoriya Gaun ko Juwain) and a mesmerising dance by Anjana Bahini from Pokhari Gaun as always. Thank you to our octogenarian, the most senior citizen of our Samaj, Adarniya Kul Bahadur Baje from Mauja Gaun for taking responsibility of chief guest of the day and congratulating all our newly weds, graduates, new members, outstanding social post holders and visitors on the day. Congratulations and best wishes to them all! Baje, you stay healthy and happy!

We are also very grateful to two helpful and friendly babuharu, Nischal and Nirmal from Danda Gaun who helped us to sell the Raffle Draw Tickets. Thank you Daiharu from Bijayapur Gaun for capturing event of the day. We would be grateful if both of you could pass them to Purna Dai in your next convenient time.

Most importantly, thank you to each and everyone of you including all guests from Nepal and all Cheli Betti families who managed to attend despite their busy schedules, as well as a thank you to all members who made a contribution despite their absences.

There is always next time for those who couldn’t make it this time. Please make every effort to attend future events – we look forward to seeing you in 2026! Once the date and venue are confirmed in our next meeting, we will inform you through this means.
